Assessment and treatment sessions are given to patient, providing the patient with desired information to continue rehabilitation on a daily basis at home with a variety of exercises. The treatment comprises of chest clearance exercises, neck and shoulder exercises, donor flap site exercises and general mobility rehabilitation.
To treat restricted mouth opening; mouth opening device, mouth opening exercises, jaw mobility and tongue mobility training are given as per the need of the patient. For the treatment of Trismus, a combination of ultrasound therapy and jaw stretching exercises are given after 6 months of Radiotherapy.
If speech and swallowing rehabilitation is required, then the social worker, speech therapist and other psychosocial counselor provides the patient with needed support.
