Department of Pathology

The Department of Pathology is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL 15189 : 2007) and certified by ISO 9001 :2000. It strictly adheres to the laid down quality norms and international guidelines ensuring the highest quality diagnostic services to doctors and patients. The department is well equipped to handle in-house investigations as well as external referred tests.

The laboratory has an appropriate internal quality control programme and participates in EQAs and inter-laboratory comparisons with national and international proficiency testing programmes. We have entered into comprehensive maintenance contracts with the manufacturers for all equipments. Each apparatus is regularly calibrated as per the standards laid down for NABL accredited laboratories. This ensures accuracy and reliability of each test result.

Teaching and Training Programmes

DNB Programme in Pathology

Dharamshila Hospital And Research Centre has been accredited by National Board of Examination to enroll four students every year for DNB Pathology. All students of DNB Pathology work together with our team of Pathologists and haemato Pathologists. This is a full time, three year Programme in Pathology.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology

The department is running a Programme in Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT). It is a two year full time diploma course.
